When word spread that the quarantine was going to be re-classified, Eng. Perez immediately researched the guidelines that would be necessary to re-open the job-site. Prior to the re-deployment he determined that all workers should:
  • Have their residences verified. Workers from areas with high COVID rates were asked to wait a little longer;
  • Produce a Barangay Health Certificate;
  • Undergo a strict 14-day quarantine period;
  • Agree to stay in the barracks areas for the duration of the project.

Each contractor was then tasked with ensuring that these measures were met, and; to decide which of their workers they could safely vouch to send back into the job-site.  Engineer Perez ensured that newly deployed workers stayed in their designated working areas and barracks while they underwent the 14-day quarantine period under the watchful eyes of a safety officer.

All succeeding workers to deployed would be assigned to separate working areas and separate barracks until they completed their quarantine.

TAKE PROPER PRECAUTIONS:

Eng. Perez also instituted regular preventive measures to be implemented in the MC Home Depot jobsite. Among these precautions were:
